Wanneer de scheidsrechter tegen de Nederlandse en Duitse dubbelpartners zegt: “Dit is het beslissende punt”, fluistert Anja naar de supporters: “We pakken ze wel!” Ze maant het publiek stil te zijn en … haar krachtige slag bezorgt hun de overwinning. Coach en begeleiders stormen de baan op: “We hebben een S, we hebben een G, we hebben een K, SGK!” Deze Stichting Sportbelang zorgt ervoor dat Anja (31) en Martijn (26) kunnen trainen. Twee uur in de week staan ze samen op de baan. Beiden spelen ze op topniveau. Begeleider Gerard Rietveld vertelt: “Anja is zo allround. Als ze het op haar heupen heeft, speelt ze de sterren van de hemel. Ze heeft een sterke slag, ook bij bowlen gooide ze achter elkaar strikes. Gelukkig heeft ze voor tennis gekozen, want ik kan echt van haar spel genieten en samen is het een prima stel!”The Dutch Anja IJspeert and Martijn Auwerda played the mixed double finale in the tennis tournament.It turned out to be a true thriller, in which the host land took the victory.The moment the referee announces to the Dutch and German double partners: “This will be the deciding point!”, Anja whispers to the supporters: “We’ll get them all right! ”She urges the spectators to be very quiet and…her powerful smash brings them victory! Coach and escorts rush forward on the court: “We’ve got an S, we’ve got a G, we’ve got a K; SGK!” The ‘Stichting Sportbelang’ takes care of the training facilities of Anja (31) and Martijn(26). They spend two hours per week at the court. They both play at top level. Assistant Gerard Rietveld:“Anja really is an all-round player. If she is going for it, there’s hardly any limit. She has a strong serve; while bowling she scored one strike after the other. Fortunately she chose tennis; I really can enjoy her game and together they make a fine couple!” (translation Jaap Wesseling)
