Om twee gelijke poules te kunnen samenstellen, wordt er een speciaal ‘Oranjeteam’ gevormd van spelers uit de verschillende ploegen. Zodat in totaal acht teams strijden voor een plaats op het erepodium.Rond het middaguur kwam het team van SDO-Velthoven in actie tegen de spelers van THOR-Mijnheerenland. Na 25 minuten stond THOR voor met 5 tegen 4. Op dat moment kregen de aanvallers van SDO een fantastische reeks kansen om de score op de valreep nog gelijk te maken. Het viertal kon de bal echter niet in de korf krijgen. De spelers van THOR namen vervolgens in rap tempo de aanval over, maar SDO wist de bal vakkundig te onderscheppen. In de allerlaatste minuut liep SDO-er Dirk volledig vrij en kreeg meteen de bal toegespeeld. Hij mikte direct op de korf maar miste op een haar na.The Korfbal matches started on Friday morning in the Kardinge Sportpark.
